Welcome to Bentley Alberta!
Welcome to our Website!!
As Mayor of the beautiful and friendly community of Bentley, I would like to extend an invitation to you and your family to come see what we have to offer. So often in our travels, we forget to get off the beaten path to appreciate what smaller communities have in store. We encourage you to take the very short detour into Bentley off Highway 12 and be prepared to be surprised.
Main Street showcases a kite shop, a bike shop, a florist, a dress shop, an antique store, two craft stores. Along with these unique businesses, we also have a gas station, grocery store, restaurants, hair dressers, a drug store, and two pubs. More commercial businesses, too numerous to name here, have chosen Bentley as their home. Just off Main Street, we have our Library and Museum.
During the winter months, bring your skates or your skis and enjoy the outdoors. Medicine Ski Hill – very family oriented - is a short drive to the west of Bentley on Highway 12. We also have an indoor arena, curling rink and a small outdoor skating rink.
In the summer months, come camp at our municipal campground or at Gull Lake. From Gull Lake, you can walk or bike into Bentley using the paved bike path. Saturdays our famous Farmers’ Market is open in the afternoons for you to pick up fresh vegetables, bread and crafts.
We also have a pre-kindergarten to grade twelve school and hockey academy staffed by the best teachers any parent could wish for – they truly care for our students. The Town Community Services Department is also available for the social needs of the community during the week.
We encourage you to make Bentley your next destination. Spend a day or more – whether it be shopping, for a meal, or just to relax - we know you will not be disappointed.
